Beyond Filmmaking

Creative storytelling extends beyond filmmaking, with a commitment to using stories as a force for connection and meaningful impact. As the creator and author of two children’s books, Anoush and the Apricot Tree and Anoush and the Lavash Moon, these stories celebrate the Armenian-American experience through memories and traditions inspired by childhood.

Published in English, Eastern Armenian, and Western Armenian, the books were created to make Armenian culture and storytelling accessible across generations and communities. In partnership with the Paros Foundation, the books have been shared with children and families throughout Armenia, with proceeds supporting the distribution of school supplies to students in underserved rural communities.

The project was also documented through film, bringing together literature, filmmaking, cultural preservation, and service as different forms of storytelling with a shared purpose.
